LONGVILLE — The Longville Lakes Art Center is thrilled to announce an upcoming Wine and Cheese event on October 16th, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, dedicated to honoring local wildlife photographer Ryan Emery.

Emery, a talented wildlife photographer based out of Remer, Minnesota, has a history deeply intertwined with the local region. Growing up in St. Paul, he spent countless weekends at his family’s cabin on Upper Trelipe Lake—part of a cherished family tradition in a special region they first visited over a century ago in 1905.

Emery’s profound love for the outdoors ultimately found its true expression behind the camera lens. Drawing artistic inspiration from his father’s keen eye for composition alongside his mother’s creative spirit, his work captures the authentic, untamed beauty of the natural world in striking detail.

Although he has spent years traveling the globe and building a diverse photographic catalog, this special exhibition marks a major milestone: his official debut sharing fine art prints with the public. The gallery offers an intimate, breathtaking look at the wildlife and landscapes of northern Minnesota, all shaped by a lifetime of cherished family memories.

Adding to the evening’s festivities, special musical guest Charley Wagner will perform live for attendees, providing a wonderful soundtrack as guests explore the gallery.

Community members, art enthusiasts, and nature lovers alike are warmly invited to attend the upcoming reception to meet the artist, enjoy live music from Charley Wagner, savor fine wine and cheese, and experience the northern wilderness through Emery’s visionary perspective.
