Ronald David Ritter, age 53, of Remer, Minnesota, passed away at his home on October 31, 2026.
Ronald was born on August 27, 1973, in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, to Paul and Patricia (Hilke) Ritter. He attended Remer High School before enlisting in the United States Army, where he proudly served his country.
Although Ron took great pride in his military service, nothing made him prouder than his children. They were truly his pride and joy, and he never missed an opportunity to tell others just how proud he was of them. His love for his family was unwavering, and he made sure those closest to him always knew how much they meant to him.
Ron was a hardworking man with a larger-than-life personality. Known for his humor, contagious laugh, and unmistakably loud presence, he could fill a room with laughter. He loved pulling pranks, telling jokes, and making memories with the people he loved.
An avid outdoorsman, Ron enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially whitetail deer. He also had a deep love for the ocean. Whether he was outdoors, sharing a laugh, or spending time with family, Ron found happiness in life’s simple moments.
Above all else, Ron cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren. He loved fiercely, laughed loudly, and lived in a way that left an impression on everyone who knew him. His family will forever remember his humor, his strength, and the way he made them feel loved and protected.
Ronald was preceded in death by his grandparents.
He is survived by his children, Braden Ritter and Madeline Graybill; his parents, Paul and Patricia Ritter; his brothers, David (Ann) and Michael (Shawna); his adopted brothers, Joe (Doris), Jeffery, and Jeremy; his adopted sister, Franchesca; and his beloved grandchildren, Georgie, Kaycee, and a grandchild on the way.
