   What do Tuesdays and rain have in common in Hackensack, MN? Not much really. We are rarely rained out, and today was no exception. We started the contest in a light sprinkle, but the rain slowly grew harder. So, we accelerated the end of the contest and stopped after 45 min, and quickly passed out goody bags & prizes. We were all soaked, but we made it through the event.

Kids fishing contest ages 0-5

At the Hackensack Kid’s Fishing Contest Tuesday, June 23, 14 kids in the 0-5 year old group, caught and released 15 fish. Lucas L. caught the largest fish (5 oz.); Sofia A. reeled in the first fish; Henry V. landed the most fish (5); and Levi E. hooked the smallest fish (3 1/4 inches).

   The hot dog sponsor this week was The Lighthouse Church (lighthousehackensack.com). Pastor Loren was the hot dog chef. There is something about his cooking, the hot dogs are just soooo good!

Kids fishing contest ages 6-9

On June 23, Hackensack Kid’s Fishing Contest, 22 kids in the 6-9 year old group, caught and released 40 fish. Eva S. caught the largest fish (20 oz.); Ryland J. reeled in the first fish; Soma V. landed the most fish (9); and the smallest fish award went to Quinn F. (3 3/4 inches).

Kids fishing contest ages 10-15

In the 10-15 year old group, Tuesday, June 23, 15 kids caught and released 53 fish. Oliver V. hooked the largest fish (14.4 oz.); the first fish was caught by Brady C; Eli P. caught the most fish (20) and the smallest fish (3 1/2 inches) was landed by Bently C
