The Margaret Welch Memorial Library in Longville will be hosting children’s author Sarah Carlson, author of the Chloe series on Thursday July 2nd at 10:30 am. Carlson will be presenting a special storytime reading of her Chloe books along with an activity and snack.
The Chloe books turn some of childhood’s hardest moments into stories that help other children feel a little less alone. What makes the Chloe books especially meaningful is that they are truly a family effort. The stories are inspired by real moments with the author’s daughters, Emma and Adley. While Sarah writes the stories, Adley brings them to life through her illustrations, adding warmth, personality and emotion to every page. Emma continues to inspire many of the heart and themes behind the series. And behind it all is Tyler — husband, dad, biggest supporter and constant encourager — cheering the family on through every idea, draft and late-night creative conversation. Together, the family has created more than just children’s books. They’ve created stories rooted in real childhood experiences — stories that remind kids they are brave, understood and never alone in what they’re feeling.
In a world where children often carry big emotions quietly, the Chloe series is helping families start conversations about courage, fear, healing and resilience — one story at a time.
