Turtle Fest champion
This week’s Grand Winner was six year old Anna Trimble from Decoraha, IA.
Even with a little rain, Week #2 was a success! We were thrilled to host 240 racers, and it was wonderful to see all the games in full swing.
Longville proves time and again why this tradition is so special. Seeing families and friends gather on Main Street to cheer on their little turtles is always a highlight. Whether you raced a turtle, cheered from the sideline, played a game or simply came to enjoy the day, you helped make the day so much fun. These moments create memories, and the excitement from both newcomers and longtime fans was contagious.

We loved seeing everyone enjoying the various games and activities together. None of this would be possible without our incredible volunteers and local businesses. Whether you donated your time or resources, we are truly grateful for your support.

This week’s Grand Slowpoke Winner was five year old Charles Ellis from Stillwater, MN.
The Longville turtle races are more than just a summer event; they are a tradition that strengthens our community and creates unforgettable experiences for thousands of visitors each year.
