Grand Prize Winner

   Today was a perfect weather day for the contest. Temps were great with a slight breeze. And the result? The fish were biting and our 56 participants had a good chance to catch a fish. In fact, the average was 3 fish per youth. Make sure to look through all the photos on Facebook this week. The kids were having a fantastic time encouraging their minnow to race to the end of the track and the photos show that.

Kids fishing contest ages 0-5

At the Hackensack Kid’s Fishing Contest Tuesday, June 16, 12 kids in the 0-5 year old group, caught and released 17 fish. Abigail W. caught the largest fish (5.4 oz.); Connelley T. reeled in the first fish; Lucy J. landed the most fish (5); and Henry V. hooked the smallest fish (3 3/4 inches).

Kids fishing contest ages 6-9

On June 16, Hackensack Kid’s Fishing Contest, 27 kids in the 6-9 year old group, caught and released 68 fish. Andre S. caught the largest fish (26 oz.); Eva S. reeled in the first fish; Alison V. landed the most fish (10); and the smallest fish award went to Soma V. (3 5/16 inches).

Kids fishing contest ages 10-15

In the 10-15 year old group, Tuesday, June 16, 17 kids caught and released 65 fish. Izze C. hooked the largest fish (15 oz.); the first fish was caught by Corbin; Ely P. caught the most fish (19) and the smallest fish (3 inches) was landed by Charles E.
