   In conjunction with the Cass Co. Fair, the Friends of the Pine River Library will open their 2026 summer book sale series at the Commercial Building on the Cass Co. Fairgrounds in Pine River, June 24-27. Hours are Wed. 2-9 p.m., Thurs. 11 a.m.-9 p.m., Fri. 11 a.m.-9 p.m., Sat. 11 a.m.-9 p.m.

   They invite the public to search for treasures among the wide range of hardcovers, paperbacks, books on CD, DVDs, puzzles and games.  

   The sale is neatly organized, with sections of fiction, non-fiction, large print, children’s, junior, young adult (YA), westerns, Christian fiction, sci-fi and fantasy, antiques and more. This round of the sale has particularly large amounts of crafting, westerns, paperback mysteries, DVDs, large print, Minnesota, and junior books.

   The sale will be free will donation.   

   The Friends of the Pine River Library goals are: 

   1) Get books into readers’ hands.

   2) Raise funds to support the Pine River Public Library programs and building. 

   3) Build community and connection.
