   Residents will have an opportunity to meet and speak with candidates seeking public office during a Candidate Meet and Greet hosted by Northern Alliance on Wednesday, June 17, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Turtle Town Café, located at 1490 County Road 5 in Longville.

   The informal gathering is designed to give community members a chance to connect with local candidates, ask questions and discuss issues that are important to them and their communities. Organizers encourage residents to attend and participate in open conversations about the future of the region.

   Candidates invited to attend include those running in Senate District 2, Senate District 6 and Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District. The event will provide an opportunity for voters to meet candidates face-to-face and learn more about their positions on issues affecting northern Minnesota.

   The meet and greet will feature an open question-and-answer format, allowing attendees to engage directly with candidates and share concerns, ideas and priorities. Refreshments will be served.

   Northern Alliance said the event is intended to encourage civic engagement and give residents a voice in the political process ahead of upcoming elections. Community members are invited to stop by, meet the candidates and take part in the discussion.
