Ryan and Joanne Pels to perform at Music in the Park June 14
Ryan and Joanne Pels will open the first Music in the Park summer concert series on Sunday, June 14. The two-hour concert starts at 5 p.m. at the gazebo in the park area of Salem Lutheran Church, 1340 County Road 5 in Longville.
Since it will be Flag Day, Ryan and Joanne will include several patriotic songs as well as a variety country music. The couple live in the Walker area where they are active members of the community and take the stage at various venues. Their fans follow them to concerts including the great outdoors, bars, coffee houses, the Walker Bay Theatre, and many churches. As a veteran, Ryan has sung patriotic songs at veteran programs. Loving country music, the duo sings and strums, giving their audiences a taste of many of the different types of country music You may also hear Ryan’s ability to yodel. He’s one of the best!
Admission is free, but free-will donations are appreciated. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and picnic baskets. Popcorn and lemonade is available. In case of rain, the concert will be held in the church. Music in the Park is a community outreach activity of Salem Lutheran Church and supported by the Longville Area Community Choir. It is funded in part with grants from the Longville Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and the Longville Area Foundation.
