June 17, 1926
The lath mill belonging to Art Weis was destroyed by fire Sunday in Wabedo township. The Walker Lumber Co. also lost lath and a large quantity of lath bolts. A wind storm was raging so that it was impossible to check the fire when discovered.
Ralph Gadboe and Ed Slagle have nearly finished stumping and clearing the road on the Kego and Inguadona range line.
Some of the young folks from Ponto Lake township took in the dance at Blind Lake on Saturday evening.

June 14, 1951
Dick Morgan, owner and editor of the Remer Star, underwent surgery and is in critical condition.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Nolles have sold Cabin Camp to the Conrad Longs and Charles Lovans.
Chester LeRoy Alllen, Ah-Gwah-Ching, and Reva Lilyquist, Longville, applied for a marriage license on June 18th.

June 11, 1976
Sophie Winger of Remer announces the engagement of her daughter Ethel Louise to Patrick James O’Neal, son of Mrs. and Mrs. Janes O’Neal of Federal Dam. A July 10th wedding is planned.
The well driller was very busy in Federal Dam this week drilling a well for Barney Durkee and also on the former Eberhart place.
Mr. and Mrs. Len Tabaka of Longville went to Remer on Saturday evening to attend the open house of Jim Andrew’s Remer Timber Co.

Hackensack American Legion Auxiliary Post 202 accepts the dedication of the new memorial for the Finnely Cemetery Some 30 people were present.

The Longville Library Foundation will kick off a five-year finance and building fund drive at its annual meeting on June 19th.
