   The City of Longville Area Community Clean-Up Day will be held Saturday, June 20, from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Slagle Landfill, 3246 County Road 7 NE.

   Residents can dispose of a variety of items at no charge, including electronics, appliances, scrap metal, household furniture, carpet, mattresses, wood, unmounted passenger vehicle tires and house demolition materials such as windows, doors, tubs, toilets and sinks.

   Items that will not be accepted include household trash, yard waste and hazardous materials such as batteries, fluorescent bulbs, paint and chemicals.

   The event is hosted by the Longville Area Snowmobile Club and is intended to help area residents responsibly dispose of unwanted items while keeping the community clean.
