   The Longville Lakes Arts Center will host an Artist Wine and Cheese Reception featuring Minnesota artist Sarah Browne on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 4 to 6 p.m. The public is invited to attend this free event to meet the artist, view her work, and enjoy complimentary wine and cheese.

   Browne is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans painting, photography, graphic design, murals, and public art. With Scandinavian roots and a lifelong passion for creative expression, she draws inspiration from northern Minnesota’s landscapes, wildlife, architecture, and Finnish design traditions.

   Growing up in a small Minnesota town and traveling extensively has shaped Browne’s artistic perspective. Her work reflects a deep appreciation for nature, thoughtful design, and the stories that connect people to the places they call home.

   In addition to her studio work, Browne creates murals and public art projects that celebrate the history, culture, and natural beauty of rural communities. She has collaborated with the New York Mills Cultural Center, the City of Wadena, and businesses throughout Minnesota to develop murals and public installations that strengthen community identity and tell local stories.

   Many of her projects draw inspiration from the Finn Triangle region, highlighting its Finnish heritage, forests, lakes, and traditions. Browne is also developing concepts for a regional mural trail and other public art initiatives designed to create welcoming gathering spaces, encourage tourism, and foster community pride.

   Guests attending the Aug. 1 reception will have the opportunity to visit with Browne, learn about her creative process, and explore a collection of her artwork in a relaxed setting.

   The Longville Lakes Arts Center welcomes everyone to attend and celebrate the work of this talented Minnesota artist.
