   Deep Portage Learning Center will host its popular “Charlie to Base” orienteering program on July 30, with sessions from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m.

   Participants ages 8 and older will learn basic orienteering skills before using a map, compass and walkie-talkie to navigate a course through the Deep Portage woods. Teams of two to five people are welcome, with space limited to six teams per session.
