This year, Lake Washburn celebrated it’s 33rd Fourth of July boat parade. All previous records were smashed with a whopping 86 watercraft filling Birch Bay. The armada was led by Grand Marshals; Jack (the founder of the parade), his son David, daughter-in-law Deb and grandson Peder Schuller, Leighton and sister-in-law Sue Quinn, Cassie Tommerdahl and Obi the Pooch. This year also featured a special water cannon packing Grand Marshal Escort provided by long time Washburn residents Kim and Dave Highes. Photos submitted.
