   Did the Independence Day celebrations give you a spark of hope? You are invited to keep it glowing by coming to the “Spark of Hope” community fundraiser at Hope Lutheran Church of Walker to be held Tuesday, July 21 from 10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.  This event (formerly Christmas in July) raises needed funds for area youth and non-profits including Walker-Hackensack-Akeley school children and youth programs, Boys & Girls Club, Walker-area Food Shelf, Faith in Action, Family Safety Network, Second Harvest, food boxes and Lutheran World Relief.

   Besides a tasty luncheon, you’ll find handmade crafts and cards, baked goods, jams and jellies for sale, plus a beautiful quilt to be raffled on display. The event is free. The luncheon costs $15. 

   Spark of Hope is a fundraiser sponsored by the Women of Hope, Hope Lutheran Church, 305 10th St. So., Walker.
