  Charles “Chuck” Hanson, age 86, of Hackensack, MN, passed away on July 7, 2026 at St. Joseph’s Medical Center.

   Chuck was born September 21, 1939, to Floyd and Ester (Klawitter) Hanson in Hutchinson, MN. He graduated from Hutchinson High School and went on to attend Macalester College. Chuck married Laura Radunz (sp.) on August 20, 1960 and they went on to raise two children.

   Chuck was an engineer by trade and was a life-long employee of 3M. He initially joined the Army, later transitioning to the Army National Guard. Chuck also served as the Commander of the American Legion Post 202 in Hackensack.

   Chuck is survived by his wife, Laura; daughter, Pam (Greg) Townsend; son, Marc (Mary Malicha) Hanson; grandchildren, Joe (Jessi) Bell and Nikki (David) Frost; sister, Jean Augustson; and three great-grandchildren.

   Services are pending.

   Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Pine River.
