   Everyone is welcome!

   As America celebrates 250 years of independence, Salem Lutheran Church in Longville invites families to reflect on the ideals of welcome, hope and community that have helped shape our nation. Throughout America’s history, people from many cultures have come seeking refuge, opportunity and a better life for their families. Salem Lutheran believes those same values are reflected in the teachings of Jesus, who welcomed everyone to the table with love, acceptance and compassion.

   To celebrate that message, Salem Lutheran Church will host its annual Vacation Bible School, “Everyone Is Welcome at the Table,” July 27–31. The program is open to all children ages 4 through those entering sixth grade.

   Each morning from 9 a.m. to noon, children will enjoy Bible stories, crafts, games, music, new friendships and plenty of fun in a welcoming environment.

   Vacation Bible School is free of charge. Families are asked to register in advance by calling the church office at (218) 363-2011 or by stopping in at Salem Lutheran Church, 1340 County Road 5, Longville. Parents are also welcome to volunteer during the week.

   Salem Lutheran Church invites all area children and families to join in this special week of faith, friendship and fun because, as the theme reminds us, “Everyone Is Welcome at the Table.”
