   Listen up, dudes and dudettes!  For several years the Northwoods Arts Council (NAC) sponsored a popular 2-day music festival starring Josh Duffee and his Big Band, where we enjoyed his world-renowned jazz drumming.  The NAC has also sponsored the highly successful Lakeside Concert Series in Hackensack during the summer months.  So it’s a match made in ‘80’s heaven to bring Josh’s Class of ’82 synth-pop tribute band here for a free outdoor concert!  

   The Class of ’82 is a six-piece visit to the synth-pop/new wave movement of the 1980s, which featured catchy melodies and electronic beats.  Think Duran Duran! INXS! Huey Lewis and The News! Tears for Fears! Men Without Hats!  And more!  The bodacious playlist will make you smile, sing along with the vocalist, and break out your favorite dance moves!

   It’ll be totally tubular!

   This is the music Josh listened to on family vacations in our area, so he’s especially excited to bring it to us.  Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the concert in the Hackensack City Park, overlooking Birch Lake. Oh yeah, and feel free to dress in your ‘80’s finest so that you can bust out your best dance moves!

   The performance will run from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. In case of rain, the performance will move to the Hackensack Community building (please bring your lawn chairs.)  There is no admission fee, but donations will be gratefully accepted to help the NAC continue to bring quality events to our area.
