   LongBow Ladies Golf League once again faced approaching rain but fortunately for the eighth round of the season, the rain clouds were mostly quiet as we played on Wednesday, July 1.

    Four foursomes played a scramble called Step Aside. All four golfers teed off on each hole. Thereon, the one who’s ball the group played “stepped aside” while her three partners played to the next shot. The routine was repeated until the putt was in the cup. No golfer could have more than eight drives.

    First place was won with a 79 and included Hope Olson, Cathy Wierzbicki, Pat McKee, and Harriet Mouw.

    With an 81, Phyllis Prantner, Kim McDonald, Mary Hagelie, and Mary Jo Schleif took second place.
