Labor Day Weekend traditions continue
Boy River Hobo Day this Saturday
The annual Boy River Hobo Day returns this Saturday, September 5. It’s time to dig out your knapsack and hop the train over to Boy River for the celebration. The festivities begin at 8 a.m. with events happening all day long.
Beginning at 8 a.m. will be a biscuits and gravy breakfast at Jerry’s Bar. Bring your best marksman skills to the Trap Shoot and visit the Flea Market, both kicking off at 9 a.m. At 10, get your friends together for some “minnow shots.” Right after at 10:30, the parade starts to line up, and at noon, the Hobo Day Parade leaves the station.
Gather the kids for a bouncy house after the parade and a kids sucker tank at 1:30. Test your arm at the bean bag competition at 2. After you’ve worked up an appetite, try a scrumptious pie from the Pie Auction taking place at 3 p.m. Hobo Day’s events wrap up with an intense tug-of-war game at 5 p.m.
All day take advantage of mugs, coozies, t-shirt sales, Jell-o shots and more.
Follow the tracks to Boy River on Saturday for fun festivities.
