In Loving Memory of David Elvin Alrick. David Elvin Alrick, 77, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026, in Gold Canyon, Arizona, after an eight-month battle with bladder cancer.
A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and proud U.S. Army veteran, David’s life was defined by service, perseverance, and devotion to family. Raised on the family farm in Rock Dell, Minnesota, he served honorably in the Army from 1967 to 1971, including a Vietnam tour from 1969 to 1970. David’s greatest pride was his family. He shared 53 years of marriage with his wife, Debbie, and was a devoted father who taught hard work, honesty, and dedication by example. Known for his ability to fix anything, he provided wisdom, guidance, and unwavering support to those he loved.
An avid outdoorsman, David enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, and exploring the deserts and mountains of Arizona. He cherished time spent with family, friends, and his dogs at Alrick Shady Oak Farm in southern Minnesota, the family cabin and lake in northern Minnesota, and his winter home in Arizona.
David is survived by his wife, Debbie Alrick; children Erin (Matthew) Landwehr, Joseph Alrick, and Chris (Melissa) Alrick; grandchildren Alissa Landwehr, Marli and Rio Alrick; sister Dorothy Nelson; brothers Robert Alrick and Gary (Sheila) Alrick; and many extended family members, friends, and fellow veterans. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Hunter, and his parents, Violet and Elvin Alrick.
