   Wefelmeyer Picklefest returns to Pine River on Saturday, Aug. 15, with a full day of activities planned from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The free event will be held at the corner of Highway 371 and Barclay Avenue and features something for all ages.

   Visitors can browse a vendor fair, enjoy food from local food trucks and listen to live music throughout the day. Other activities include pickle-eating contests, free pickle samples, a “Pickle for a Nickel” promotion, pickle passports and a history tent highlighting the area’s pickle heritage.

   Family-friendly games will also be offered, giving children and adults plenty to enjoy while exploring the festival.

   Admission is free, and everyone is welcome to attend.
