Nutrition expert to present on omega-3 and essential fatty acid balance
Residents interested in learning more about the role nutrition plays in overall health are invited to attend a free educational seminar on omega-3s and essential fatty acid balance later this month in Grand Rapids.
Dr. Beth Ley Knotts, Ph.D., author and nutritionist, will present an in-person program titled “Omega 3 & Essential Fatty Acid Balance: Are You in the Danger Zone?” at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25, in the conference room at the Best Western Hotel, 2309 SW First Ave., Grand Rapids.
The presentation will focus on the importance of omega-3 fatty acids and maintaining a healthy balance of essential fatty acids. Attendees will learn how imbalances may affect overall health, recognize signs they may be experiencing an unhealthy fatty acid imbalance, and discover practical tips for improving wellness through better nutritional balance.
The seminar is designed to provide educational information in an in-person setting, with opportunities for attendees to gain a better understanding of how essential fats contribute to heart, brain and overall health.
