   Brian Stephen Monnens, age 53, of Hackensack, MN formerly of Lakeville, MN passed away unexpectedly on August 2, 2026. He was born on July 27, 1973, in Shakopee, MN to Donald and Kathy Monnens. Four years later, he welcomed his brother, Scott, whom he was always so proud of. They grew up in Lakeville, and he graduated from Lakeville High School in 1991.

   He married Tia (Davis) in 2016 and in 2019, they moved to Hackensack to live a more relaxed lifestyle. A few months later, they rescued Buddy (aka Bucky Boy), a Bichon mix, and spoiled him all the rest of his days. In 2024, they rescued Holly (aka Sassy Pants), another Bichon, and she quickly became daddy’s girl.

   At the time of his passing, Brian was a manager at Trapper’s Landing Lodge. He loved talking to people he encountered, though you may not know it since he also loved to stay home, like his dad. He had a big heart, and loved fiercely, though he didn’t always know how to show it.

   He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Tia; mother, Kathy Monnens; brother, Scott (Cola) Monnens; niece, Allie (Anthony) Rosckes; great nieces, Ophelia and Eden; mother-in-law, Kathie Hull; siblings-in-law, Chad (Karen) Davis, Andy (Crystal) Kolnberger, Kasey (Sam) Kolnberger, and Danielle (Andrew) Fuerte; step mother-in-law, Deb Davis; and nephew, Jaxson Kolnberger. And many amazing aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

   Brian is preceded in death by his father, Donald Monnens, and father-in-law, Rick Davis.

   Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday August 11, 2026, at the White Funeral Home, 20134 Kenwood TRL, Lakeville, MN
