Deep Portage programs continue in August
Deep Portage Learning Center will kick off its August public programs with a Clothing Swap on Aug. 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. Participants can bring clean, gently used clothing items by 2:30 p.m. and receive a ticket for each item donated. Tickets can then be used to select clothing during the swap, with any remaining items donated locally.
On Aug. 6, Deep Portage will offer Archery sessions from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m. Participants ages 10 and older can learn to shoot compound and recurve bows at the center’s archery range.
On Aug. 11, Deep Portage will host Canoeing sessions from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m. Participants can enjoy a paddle on Bass Pond and Big Deep Lake, or bring fishing gear along for the adventure.
All programs are offered on a free-will donation basis. For more information, contact Deep Portage Learning Center.
