Pine River Market Square Farmers Market vendor training

Pine River Market Square, a local growers’ and crafters’ market, is welcoming vendors as it begins its 18th year. There is the option  to sign up either as a seasonal vendor or drop-in vendor. A vendor and volunteer orientation / meet & greet is set for Friday, May 1, 5:30 pm, at the market site next to the Depot in Pine River.

The May 1 meeting is a time to learn about the market, meet other vendors & volunteers, complete paperwork, and ask questions. Rates are $125 for a seasonal vendor (21 market dates) or $10 per market date as a drop-in vendor. The Market also features a Community Booth where growers and crafters may sell items without the full commitment of a booth.

“The Community Booth is a great way to dip your toes into the farmer’s market experience,” said Jenny Hill, PRMS board chair. “If you don’t have enough products for a full booth on your own or don’t have the time to attend a full market day, it’s a great alternative.” More information and applications are available on the website at prmarketsquare.wordpress.com. The market is also looking for volunteers, especially to help with market set up and take down each week.

The market happens every Friday, May 22 through September 25, 1:30-5:30pm at the SW corner of Barclay Avenue and Hwy 371. The market features a variety of vendors with local goods including fresh produce, starter plants, baked goods, eggs, meat, honey, crafts, and more.
