Hackensack Lions acknowledge community and visitors for their support
Here we are, already a quarter into 2026! Where does the time go?! When you’re busy like the Hackensack Lions club, it goes fast! When looking back to 2025, we are proud to say that we donated over $60,000 to Lions projects and our community! This was possible because of your support in attending our Lions meat raffles, pancake breakfasts, purchasing pull tabs and playing our electric gambling. So, we would like to thank our community and visitors who made it possible for us to be able to do this!
We were able to send over $8000 to Lions projects such as Kid’s Cancer, Veterans Programs, Leader Dogs, the Hearing, Diabetes and Vision Foundations and more!
The remaining $52,000 was given to organizations and projects in our local communities such as the ARCC Shelter in Akeley, the Hackensack Kid’s Fishing contest, local food shelves, WHA school programs, including $4500 in scholarships. We gave multiple donations to organizations such as, Northwoods Arts Council, Hackensack Chamber of Commerce, the City of Hackensack, and the many projects of the Hackensack Game Changers.
We were able to put on an Easter party for the kids and funded National Nite Out, a yearly event for the whole family. And because of your generosity donating at our pancake breakfasts, $782.26 was given to each of the following organizations: Hackensack Great Start Family Child Care, the Hackensack Lending Library, Hackensack Lakes Area Community Foundation, Walker Family Safety Network, Wounded Warriors Bear Hunt, and Lakes Area Dive Team. We’ll be back at the Hackensack Community Building beginning in May, serving the BEST pancakes around! This breakfast takes place on the first Sunday of each month through October, serving from 8 to 11:00. We’d love to see you!
Don’t forget to join us each Monday at 5:00 at the Hackensack Muni for our meat raffles. That’s where our pull tabs and electronic gambling are also.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the Hackensack Lions club, you can contact our Membership Chair, Dean Husfeldt, at [email protected] or 763 226-0937, another current member, or join us as a guest at one of our monthly meetings. Our meetings are located at The Hackensack Hub, on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7 pm. We’d love to have you join The Largest Service Organization in the World, Lions International, and the Hackensack Lions Club!
