The Walker American Legion Riders #134 hosted a benefit ride on Aug. 16 in support of the American Legion Veterans & Children Foundation, raising about $6,000. The ride included a stop at the Bemidji Veterans Home where we visited with residents. Special appreciation to the Walker Hardee’s for providing breakfast sandwiches, chicken and other items; the Walker American Legion for breakfast coffee-juice and facility setup. The Bagley American Legion Auxiliary for providing lunch. Port-Able John Rental Bemidji for rest stop porta-potty’s. The Walker American Legion Color Guard, the Bagley American Legion Color Guard. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Walker Police Department and Walker Fire Department for help to ensure a safe ride. Photo submitted.
