St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hackensack was the site of the latest “Aim to Train” campaign. Because St. Paul’s holds so many community gatherings, when the need arose to replace their AED, St. Paul’s congregation as well as the following community groups made contributions: Share and Care, Walker Legion Riders, Hackensack Lions and Hackensack Legion Post 202. Steve Hoopman led the fundraiser and coordinated the event. Drake’s Pizza and Steve donated supper to the participants. The 2 1/2 hour training was led by Nikki and Brian Huewe. With the aid of videos from the American Heart Association, the 16 participants had practical hands-on experience giving CPR to both adult and infant mannequins. Each person also had the chance to work with the new AED. Enough money was raised through the fund raising to cover all costs of a new AED  and for the trainer expenses. Photo submitted.
