   The LongBow Ladies Golf League kicked off its 18-week season with a brunch at the LongBow Clubhouse Wednesday, May 14.  The catered brunch and meeting were attended by 15 women, including one new member.  The members voted to reduce the number of games and prizes.  The season’s dues were set at $20.

   At 11 o’clock, the members teed off in a shotgun start at LongBow for an 18-hole event.  Holes 1-9 was a best ball scramble, and Holes 10-18 was best net play.

   Winners with a 64 was the foursome of Pat McKee, Nancy McNeil, Kathy Severson, and Betty Birdie.  Second place with 67 strokes was Mona Emerson, Cindy Gross, Suzie Mandsager, and Hope Olson.

   Third place with 69 was Mary Jane Black, Mary Hagelie, Dianne Larson, and Pat Roush.

Fourth place went to Louise Hay, Jeanne Major and Kathy Newton.  Mary Jo Schleif played the front nine and Laura Varner played the back to round out the foursome.

   The first birdie of the season was recorded by Pat Roush on Hole 15.
