May 7, 1925
John Gilmer started to work for Dr. McCleary with his truck to haul building material for the lodge to be built to replace the one destroyed by fire last week in Trelipe.
A.A. Harder is busy looking after his nursery orders. He is still taking orders and delivering.
A. Warnert of Tobique was a business caller at Federal Dam on Monday evening.

May 5, 1950
Ted Bluhm carried mail in Boy River for Virgil Dickson Saturday because of the bad roads.
Last week’s snowstorm and now this weekend snow have been very hard on the birds and a great many have perished from starvation.
Floyd Borchert and Monte McKeig of Federal Dam made a trip to Grand Rapids on Saturday.

May 8, 1975
Pat Coleman, Kego township, is president of the St. Edward’s Ladies Guild. The Mother-Daughter banquet held there was well attended.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Luschka and Holly from Florida got to Frank DeLongs on Sunday. Robert is in the Navy and will be at a base in California.
The Webb Lake Fishermen’s Association held their annual meeting on Saturday evening at the Lazy Lane Resort.

Isabel Gjervik, 94, was born to John and Isable Tyler and married Harry on Sept. 3, 1937. She served on the County Welfare Board for 8 years, was a teacher, Girl Scout director, and a member of the Rebecca Lodge Club. She lived on Island Lake until 1996. She died May 2nd.
It was a full parking lot April 28, 29, and 30 at the Terry Gross property for the Thunder Lake Sports 6th Annual Mud and Poker Run.
Hwy. 84 road repair from Pine River through Longville to Hwy. 200 will be done despite traffic as there is no detour.
