Hackensack Community Clean-Up May 17th
The 4th annual Neighbor Helping Neighbor Community Clean-up is Saturday, May 17th in Hackensack. This year volunteers will be picking up trash with bags, gloves and grippers in areas within the Hackensack city limits.
The City Sanitary Service, Walker/Laporte is providing a dumpster for Hackensack city residents. We will accept unwanted items just no tires, no batteries, no wet paint, no oils, no electronics, no tv’s etc. Small furniture and mattresses should be set beside the dumpster to not fill the container. The dumpster will be near the horseshoe pits in Hackensack.
The community clean-up needs volunteers, if you would like to join the fun and get a bit of exercise, please join us. Volunteers will start the day at 9:00 a.m. with a continental breakfast at the HUB, 213 1st St S, Hackensack. Project hours are 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 (noon). Garbage bags will be provided. Volunteers should bring work gloves and grippers, if possible.
We’ll see you at the HUB on May 17th at 9:00a.m. Questions? Contact Sue Kimmel (507) 276-1809.
