   Veterans and their families are invited to a free program on Saturday, June 14, at 1 p.m. at the Pine River American Legion on Highway 371. Hosted by local Lions Clubs, the event will introduce Project New Hope, an organization dedicated to supporting veterans facing a variety of challenges after service.

   Speakers Dale Johansen and Sean Abernathy, veterans, Lions members, and board members of Project New Hope, will share resources and personal insights on the group’s mission.

   Prior to the program, a Flag Retirement Ceremony will be held at the Legion at 11 a.m., followed by a light lunch.
