   Restoration construction at the historic Hackensack log cabin Lending Library began in May as a result of a large grant from the Minnesota Historical Society and generous contributions from individuals and organizations. This phase of work includes logs, windows, floors, and doors along with basement rehab work. Anticipated return from our temporary library location is spring of 2026. The last phase of restoration work will begin in 2026 and will include a handicap entrance.

   The temporary Lending Library is located at 120 Highway 371, just north of First National Bank in Hackensack. Hours of operation continue to be Monday - Saturday, 10:00 - 2:00 June - August and Saturdays in September.
