MEETING MINUTES UNAPPROVED
Wed., Jan. 15, 2025
Mayor Jocko Kline called the regular scheduled meeting of the month to order on Wednesday,
January 15, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance
PRESENT: Mayor: Jocko Kline, Council Members: Phyllis Eck and Neil Tobiason.
City Clerk/Treasurer: Christina Herheim. Deputy City Clerk: Heidi Johnson
Employees: Dean Murray, Sara Putnam and Sam Koehn. Citizens: Steve Shallbetter.
ABSENT: Manager Nancy Raines, Council Members Greg Gilsrud and Nathan Tabaka.
1. M/S/P: Eck/Tobiason to approve agenda for Wednesday, January 15, 2025.
2. M/S/P: Tobiason/Eck to approve Regular City Council Meeting Minutes of December 18, 2024.
3. New Business:
a. M/S/P: Eck/Tobiason to approve Resolution #11525 Accepting Donations to The City of Longville.
b. M/S/P: Eck/Tobiason to approve City of Longville 2025 Fee Schedule including the addition of a 1.5% Late Fee for overdue sewer accounts.
c. M/S/P: Tobiason/Eck to approve the following appointments for 2025:
i. City Attorney: Andy Shaw
ii. Auditor: Miller McDonald
iii. City Engineer: as needed
iv. Depository: First National Bank
v. Official Newspaper: Pine Cone Press Citizen
vi. Civil Defense Director: Neil Tobiason

i. Police: No one in attendance.
ii. Ballfield: No report.
iii. Park: Ice Skating Rink is open. The current warming house hours are Friday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
b. Eck
i. Library: The lights were installed and look great. The maintenance department is waiting to hear back from Arvig regarding an installation date for new internet.
iv. Cemetery: Nothing to report.
c. Tobiason
i. Airport: Approximately 5943 gallons of fuel on hand. The selling price is $4.53 per gallon.
a. Maintenance: Winter mowing has begun.
d. Tabaka
i. Sewer: Nothing to report.
ii. Land Use: Nothing to report.
e. Gilsrud
i. Streets: Nothing to report.
ii. Liquor
1. Docksider: Manager Putnam reported that things have been going well. Business has slowed down due to lack of snow. The new vanity was installed in the women’s bathroom. In addition, kick plates were added to the doors. Music Bingo has been scheduled for entertainment this weekend.
2. LLBS: Employee Sam Koehn states that the Bottle Shop is almost done with inventory. Business is good. Koehn also mentioned that they are up in revenue from the previous year.

a. The Audit will be in March by Miller McDonald.

a. M/S/P: Tobiason/Eck to approve Payroll, Payroll liabilities and claims from check #73796-73855 in the amount of $242,835.45 and a Debit Card amount of $510.39 totaling $243,345.84.
M/S/P: Tabaka/Gilsrud to adjourn meeting at 4:27 p.m.
