A movement to organize a Community Church in Longville has been started.
County Commissioner Walker came out to Trelipe and with the town board went over the new road that is to be built on the south end of the township.
Contracts for brushing 8 miles of country road between Bena and Federal Dam is being let.

April 28, 1950
Winter showed he was still in possession of the field when 16 inches of snow was carried into Cass County on Monday.
Hackensack school had started again after several weeks mud vacation and had to be abandoned again on Monday due to the blizzard.
Ray Mix and Jake Whitted were overseers of the job of moving the planks and pilings in for the public dock at Boy River.

Ed Lash is opening his Donut Shop this coming weekend in Longville for the summer months. While there you may browse through Helen’s Yarn and Hobby Shop.
Five young folks were initiated into the National Honor Society last Thursday at Northland High School: Vivian Wheeler, Scott Mouser, Denise Weigle, Barbara Baker and Joni Johnson.
On March 29th, President Gerald R. Ford signed a Presidential Proclamation, whereby all men reaching age 18 in 1975 will be registered for the Draft.

A memorial plaque remembering veterans buried in Longville’s Riverside cemetery was dedicated by Longville VFW Post 772. It was designed and built by Norb Morris, with materials donated by Longville Builders Supply and Darold Daudt Construction.
The Salem Lutheran Church of Longville is sponsoring a benefit for Charles and Gloria Larson who were severely injured last December in an automobile accident.
To celebrate Arbor Day, the students of Remer Elementary spent the morning of April 28 planting trees around the Remer school grounds.
