Storm Volleyball falls against East Central

The Hill City/Northland Storm volleyball team hosted the East Central Eagles on Tuesday, Sept. 3 and walked away with a loss in five sets, 25-22; 25-13; 15-25; 23-25 and 11-15.

Coach Stacey Wake said “After winning the first two sets, we came out sloppy in the third and ended up losing that one to East Central. We were up 23 to 19 in the fourth and East Central came back to win 25–23. It was hard for us to come back from that mentally. We fell in the fifth 11-15. It was a good matchup and competitive play.”

Senior Bella Dunham had a stellar night with 11 kills, 3 ace serves and 8 attack assists. While junior Charity Berg ended the night with 6 kills and 2 ace serves.  The Storm will host Cromwell-Wright Tuesday, Sept. 10 at Hill City with Junior High and JV beginning at 5:45 p.m. and Varsity to begin at 7 p.m. The girls will then travel to Little Fork-Big Falls on Thursday, Sept. 12 and end the week with a tournament at Crosby-Ironton on Saturday, Sept. 14.
