   The Longville Area Community Foundation (LACF) has launched its yearly membership drive. LACF members are champions of Longville and provide support with their $50 membership that runs from July 1 to June 30.

   The LACF is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization established in 1992. The Foundation os dedicated to enriching Longville and surrounding service areas through grants to local charities and non-profits, as well as scholarships for qualifying local college/trade school students. Members of LACF support services and programs that impact enjoyment, health and safety, educational and environmental purposes.

   Yearly dues and all funds raised by the LACF stay in the Longville community. Grant recipients have included the Longville Fire Department, Lake Country First Responders, the Longville Community Garden, Longville Turtle Races, Food Shelf, Snowmobile Club, Music in the Park, Camp Olson YMCA, the Ice Skating Rink and so many more. Since 2017, LACF has distributed over $280,000 in grants and $27,000 so far in 2024. All these grants help make Longville a wonderful place to live and work.
