Local Land Trusts Host Webinars on Conservation Options for Landowners

Northern Waters Land Trust and Minnesota Land Trust are excited to announce a webinar designed to inform Minnesota landowners about conservation options available to them, including how to retain private ownership of their property while permanently protecting it.

Whether it’s a fourth-generation farm that is being retired or a cabin property being passed on to the kids, we can help current landowners understand the available land protection options and, in many cases, how to access funding.

   Webinar: Conservation Options for Landowners

 • Wednesday, June 5, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM

 • Tuesday, July 30, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM

During these sessions, participants will learn about the diverse conservation options tailored for Minnesota landowners. Experts from Northern Waters Land Trust and Minnesota Land Trust will help attendees learn how to identify the right conservation program for their land and provide step-by-step instructions on how to apply.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Minnesota Land Trust to offer these webinars,” said Bob Karls, Board Chair at Northern Waters Land Trust. “This is a great opportunity for landowners to gain a comprehensive understanding of how they can contribute to conservation efforts while preserving their own land.”

Key topics covered in the webinar include:

 • Conservation options available to Minnesota landowners including available funding.

 • How to determine which conservation program suits your goals.

 • The application process to participate in conservation programs.

   Registration is now open.

These webinars are free to attend, but registration is required as space is limited.
