   Sheriff Bryan Welk reports that on May 30th 2024 at 9:22 p.m. the Cass County Sheriff’s Office received reports of a crash involving two vehicles on County Road 48, in Crooked Lake Township, rural Outing, MN. 

   Responders arrived on scene and found that a 2000 Ford F250 pickup had rolled in the roadway, ejecting the driver and only occupant of the vehicle, Robert Dewitt, age 51, of Outing, MN. A 1994 International dump truck, driven by Robert Fossum, age 59, of Outing, was eastbound on County Rd 48 and struck the pickup that had rolled. The driver of the F250 was pronounced deceased after being transported by ambulance from the scene. The crash remains under investigation with the assistance of the Minnesota State Patrol. 

   Assisting on the scene was the Crooked Lake Fire Department, Outing Quick Response, Remer Ambulance Service, Crosby Ambulance Service and the Minnesota State Patrol.
