   The Bob Savre Senior Men’s League kicked off the 2024 league season on May 14 with 38 golfers forming 10 teams.  

   League results for May 14 are:

   First place team, with a 197 included: Mike Olson, 70; Jerry Varner, 70; Mark Nichols, 71 and Harland Johnson, 79.

   Second place, with a 202, went to the team of: Dave Klosner, 67; Danny Divot, 71; Tim Klosner, 74 and Jim Lewis, 78.

   The team coming in third place, with a 207 included: Bill McKee, 65; Ray Zittlow, 75; Kenny Schleif, 78 and Paul Dennie, 81.

   The team coming in fourth place, with a 209 included: Tom Wierzbicki, 68; Mike Paulson, 75; Randy Noecker, 80 and Dale Hillstrom, 81.

   Fifth place team, with a 211 incuded: Bob Seemann, 72; Steve Johnson, 74; Brad Duhr, 75 and Bob Vaughn, 78.

   Mike Olson earned the low gross of the day with his 72. Low net went to Bill McKee this week with his 95-30=65.

   Mike Olson was closest to the pin on No. 12 and No. 17, at 3’ 8” and 1’ 10” respectively. Brad Duhr had the longest putt on No. 8, while Jim Sletten had the longest putt on No. 18. 

   Chip-ins were made by Jim Ernst for a hole in one; Doug Hoopman for a birdie; Jerry Varner for a birdie; Paul Dennie for a birdie; Lowell Holland for two birdies; Bill McKee for par and Bob Vaughn for par.
