The Longville Area Women of Today have contributed $450 to the Margaret Welch Library in Longville, MN, which is part of the Kitchigami Regional Library System. This donation will support the ongoing growth and development of the library, which holds the distinction of being the smallest town in Minnesota to boast a public library.

The Margaret Welch Library has a deep history in the community dating back to 1952. Over the years, it has undergone significant renovations and expansions to become the beloved institution it is today. The recent addition, a long-awaited dream of the library board, has further enhanced the library’s offerings.

The library’s new addition includes dedicated study areas, an expanded large print area, and a beautifully appointed conference room available for public use during library hours. These enhancements emphasize the library’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of its patrons. Over the years, it has undergone significant transformations and expansions to become the cherished institution it is today.

“We are delighted to support the library with this donation,” said Lolene Jones, President of the Longville Area Women of Today.  “The library plays a crucial role in our community by providing resources and spaces for learning, growth, and connection.”
