   Breath of Life Adult Day Service has been selected as the recipient of the prestigious $12,000 Impact Grant for 2024, generously provided through Operation Round-Up®. These funds will catalyze the implementation of an innovative program aimed at enhancing the lives of program participants.

   Expressing his enthusiasm, Paul Welch, Retired Executive Director, and current administrative support staff member, remarked, “We’re thrilled to have been awarded the Impact Grant, which enables us to introduce an innovative solution for our program participants: affordable transportation to medical appointments. What sets our approach apart is our dedicated staff from Breath of Life Adult Services accompanying individuals, ensuring they receive the necessary medical care, while also keeping families and caretakers informed. This level of support is unprecedented in our community, addressing a crucial gap, especially for working caretakers juggling the demands of aging family members and employment.”

   Breath of Life Adult Services, serving a twenty-five-mile radius of Brainerd, Minnesota, including Crow Wing and Cass County, is dedicated to providing the highest quality of daytime care for dependent adults.

   Second quarter grants were awarded to twenty-one different organizations totaling $38,900.

   The purpose of the Impact Grant is to give a boost to a unique project/program, organization, or community to ensure its success. Applicants must show that this one-time grant would have major impact for their project, organization, or community. Operation Round-Up® is a charitable giving program facilitated by Crow Wing Power, aimed at improving the quality of life for residents within the service territory. Through voluntary contributions from members, Operation Round-Up® provides grants to organizations and projects that benefit the local community.
