LETTER TO THE EDITOR
National Volunteer Week April 21-27
Did you know that National Volunteer Week was designated in the United States in 1974. And since 1990 April has been recognized as National Volunteer Month. The Longville Area Women of Today would like to acknowledge the lengthy list of organizations and individuals who contribute their time and talents for the benefit of the Longville community.
We are privileged to have dedicated business owners, houses of worship, city and township officials and employees as the mainstay of the community. But we are also blessed with volunteers whose mission is to support and improve our community where needed. We appreciate you volunteering your passion and expertise, in person and virtually behind the scenes. Want to get involved? Additional volunteers are always welcome! The 2024 Longville Destination Guide includes a list of events and organizations that would welcome your participation. Not sure where to start? Please reach out to the Women of Today if we can assist in guiding new volunteers to any of these wonderful organizations. [email protected] Thank you.
