“Thar she blows!!” was the theme of the day as the wind lifted canopies, broke a shade umbrella, and tried to blow the contestants off the Birch Lake fishing area. But all the young fisher persons held fast and the first week of the contest was a great success. Unfortunately, the fish were not biting very much with just over 1 fish per contestant on average. We saw nothing but smiles though and we all look forward to another great fishing season in Hackensack!
