Longville Area Snowmobile Club hosts
Longville Clean-Up Day set for June 29
Carol and Jim Schuelke have volunteered to continue the popular Longville Clean-up Day program. Carol and Jim have owned local property since 2016 and moved permanently to the Longville area in 2021 from Rosemount, MN. Carol works part-time for Shriners Children’s and Jim is a retired project manager/engineer.
The Longville Area Snowmobile Club is hosting the Longville Clean-up Day program as a community service. This year’s event will be held June 29 from 8-11 a.m. at the new location, Slagle Solid Waste on Co Rd 7. The event is free only for residents of Longville and for the area townships of, Wabedo, Pine Lake, Inguadona, Trelipe, Woodrow, Kego, Thunder Lake, Rogers, and Boy Lake. Entrance line to the site will be from the east on Co. Rd. 7 and residency will be verified so participants must provide a driver’s license, utility bill or property tax statement to be admitted.
Accepted Items are: TV’s, electronics (basically anything with a cord on it) appliances, scrap metal, household furniture, carpet, mattresses, wood, unmounted passenger vehicle tires, house demolition - windows, doors, tubs, toilets, sinks etc.
Not Accepted Items are: Household trash, lawn leaves, trees, and brush and Hazardous waste (batteries, fluorescent bulbs, paint, chemicals).
Many volunteers are needed to check IDs, traffic control, and unload to make the event run smoothly.
