Deer Haven on Thunder will soon reopen under new ownership. Mike and Leigh Hanson, most recently of Cottage Grove have been enjoying the area for 30 years and recently made the move to Thunder Lake. Both Mike and Leigh have an extensive background in the bar/restaurant business with nearly 50 years combined experience. The Hansons’ excitement around their new endeavor is palatable. “Our focus is to provide great value, food and service in a positive, friendly environment. When you come through our door, you’re not just a customer, you’re our guest. After all, we’re in the hospitality business.” Leigh stated. An early spring opening is planned.
