   The Hackensack Lending Library has much to be thankful for in 2023! Our 26 library volunteers logged 1,673 hours and greeted 2,266 visitors who checked out 1,802 books from June through September. A third Legacy Grant from the state of Minnesota was accepted.  This will fund the services of preservation architect Todd Grover who will conduct a conditions assessment to determine the extent of rehabilitation for the 1936 era log cabin. (This was financially supported by a grant from the MN State Historical Society and the citizens of our state.) Nomination to the Historic National Register was approved by an independent state  board.  This nomination has been sent to the US Parks Department in Washington, DC for their final approval.
