   Donald Gerald Stefan age 83, passed away on October 24, 2023, at Essentia Health Deer River. Don was born in Crosby Minnesota in 1940 to Milo and Myrtle Stefan. He graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School in 1958 before enlisting in the National Guard. Upon his discharge, he began a long career at 3M as a salesman in the Reflective Products and Post-It Note divisions. 

   Don met and married Lori in 1965 in Roseville, MN. After moving throughout the upper Midwest, they settled in Stillwater, MN. In 1993 they retired to Remer, MN where they owned and operated the Remer Trading Post. Don was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing with his brothers and family members. He also enjoyed the political scene and would happily engage in discussions. 

   Don is preceded in death by his wife, Lori, his parents, brothers Lawrence, Leverne and Dennis Stefan, sisters Esther Jacobson and Joyce Ells. He is survived by his children, Rick (Lisa) Hagen, Steve (Linda) Hagen, Jan Svendsen, Beth (Kirk) Hogberg, Dave (Denise) Stefan: brother Milo (Jeanne) Stefan, sister Patricia (John) Trask, sister in laws Nancy Stefan, Sharon Stefan, 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
