The new Congregational Church, a memorial to Mr. Mason, respected citizen of Remer and County Commissioner, was dedicated the entire week of June 3-10.
Miss Dora Coburn conducted state exams at the Longville school.
Roselle Starling who is studying to be a nurse is visiting her parents in Boy Lake township for a short time.

Bud Engebretson and Rusty Lego drove to St. Cloud to make arrangements for attending Drew’s Business College this summer.
Stafford Nelson purchased the Harry Camp place known recently as the Fred Rice farm.
Joe and John Smith, working at timber cutting over by Park Rapids, were home at Onigum on Sunday.

Willard Wilson Moved to Hackensack in 1947 with his wife and children. He ran a resort and was janitor at the Longville school for a number of years.
The Funny Farm is the name of a new business at Remer. Formerly Gen & Joe’s Mart, it was purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Sackrison of Longville. It’s being remodeled into a recreational spot with food, pool tables, dancing, horseshoe tournaments, etc.
Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Sawyer and family were supper guests at her parents, the Gus Holmbergs.

The price for renting a turtle has doubled from $1 to $2, due to the cost of feeding and caring for the turtles each week.
Howard and Alice Yochum celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at a reception held at the Yochum farm on June 6th at 3:00 p.m.
Steve Hanson donated the black dirt at the Riverside cemetery.
